The Superfinals of the 75th Russian championship and the 72nd Russian women's championship will be held in Cheboksary on 10-23 September as part of the Chess in Museums programme carried out by the Chess Federation of Russia and the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Foundation. The venue for the event will be the Chuvash State Art Museum.

The Opening Ceremony and the drawing of lots will take place in the concert hall of the Chuvash State Philharmonic Hall on 10 September.

The tournaments are 11-round all-play-all events. The match days are 11-16 and 18-22 September. A rest day is 17 September. The games will start at 3 PM Moscow time. 

The total guaranteed prize fund is 11 million rubles: 7 million rubles in the open section and 4 million rubles in the women's tournament.  

Traditionally, a day of a social programme is organised during the Superfinals. On this day, we-known grandmasters give simuls and master classes to young chess players and veterans. 

The Superfinals are organised by the Chess Federation of Russia with support of the Russian Ministry of Sport, the Government of the Chuvash Republic, and the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Foundation.
