Six Rapid Rounds Played in Paris

The Paris Rapid & Blitz, the second event of the Grand Chess Tour, is going on in the capital of France. On the second day, the grandmasters played 4-6 rounds of rapid chess, which count double, with 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw. The leaders are Ian Nepomniachtchi, Fabiano Caruana, and Wesley So, who have scored 7 points out of 12. 

 

 
Standings after Round 6:

1-3. Fabiano Caruana, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Wesley So - 7
4-8. Levon Aronian, Teimour Radjabov, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Peter Svidler, Etienne Bacrot - 6
9. Alireza Firouzja - 5
10. Richard Rapport - 4. 

The final three rapid rounds will be played on June 20. 

Round 7 pairings:

Caruana - So, Bacrot - Radjabov, Rapport - Svidler, Nepomniachtchi - Firouzja, Aronian - Vachier-Lagrave.
