Round 5 of World Junior Championships Finishes in New Delhi

Russians are in chasing pack.


Round 5 of the World Junior Championships was played in the capital of India on October 18.

Evgeny Shtembuliak (Ukraine) is leading the race in the open event with 4.5 points. The Russians Semen Khanin and Volodar Murzin are 1 point behind. Sergey Drygalov and Stefan Pogosyan have got 3 points, while Sergei Lobanov has scored 2.5 points. 

In the girls' tournament, the leaders are Mobina Alinasab (Iran) and Boldbaatar Altantuya (Mongolia) - 4.5 points. Polina Shuvalova and Elizaveta Solozhenkina are trailing by 1 half a point. Dinara Dordzhieva and Anastasiya Protopopova have scored 3.5 points, Ekaterina Diakonova 3 points, and Margarita Potapova 2.5 points.
