Vassily Ivanchuk Wins ACP Masters
In the final he defeated Etienne Bacrot 2.5-0.5.
The ACP Masters rapid tournament with $41,000 prize fund ended in Ashdod, Israel. 12 grandmasters competed in two groups, two winners of each group advanced to the semifinals. Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine) and Etienne Bacrot (France) won their semifinals and moved on to the final match.
The final consisted of four games, but Ivanchuk won it with a game to spare – 2.5-0.5. The winner's prize is $10,000.
