FIDE Women's Candidates Semi-final Between Aleksandra Goryachkina and Tan Zhongyi Begins in Khiva

The semifinal match between Aleksandra Goryachkina and Tan Zhongyi started at the FIDE Women's Candidates Tournament in Khiva on 6 December. The Russian player, who had the white pieces, managed to hold a tough endgame. The game ended in a draw on the 98th move.
The second game will be played on 7 December. Tan Zhongyi will play as White.
