Yugra and Southern Ural Take Lead at Russian Women's Team Championship

Inleksis and Russian Seniors' Team pulled ahead in the Higher League.


The third round of the Russian Women's Team Championships and the Higher League was played in the Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina, Sochi, on 3 May. Yugra defeated the Moscow Chess Team by a narrow margin in the central match of the women's event (Marina Guseva won against Daria Voit, while the games Lagno - Pogonina, Girya - Shuvalova, and Bivol - Garifullina were drawn). Southern Ural-1 crushed Krasnodar-Crimea 3.5-0.5. 

Yugra and Southern Ural-1 are leading the race with 6 match points scored.  

Round 4 pairings in the leaders' section are as follows:

Yugra - Southern Ural-1 (Chelyabinsk Oblast)
Starlets (Novosibirsk Oblast) - Moscow Chess Team
SShOR ShSh-1 (Saint Petersburg) - Ladya (Tatarstan).

Inleksis (Voronezh Oblast) and Russian Seniors' Team won three matches in the Higher League.
