World Senior Championship Continues in Bucharest
Third round games were played.
The third round of the World Senior Championship was played in the capital of Romania on November 14.
In the open "65" group there are 10 leaders with a perfect score including the Russian IMs Evgenij Kalegin and Alexander Filipenko. Seven players are heading the race in the "50+" age category with 3 points scored. The Russian Sergei Ivanov has got 2 points.
In the women's "50+" tournament, the leaders are Margarita Baliuniene (Denmark), WGM Tatiana Grabuzova and WGM Tatiana Bogumil (both from Russia) who have scored 2.5 points. GM Nona Gaprindashvili (Georgia) has taken the sole lead in the "65+ group with 3 points. WGM Valentina Kozlovskaya and WIM Tamara Sorokina are trailing by half a point.
