Vladimir Kramnik’s Prize Share on the Way to His Native Tuapse

Medical equipment from the Play for Russia tournament donations is being shipped to Krasnodar Krai.

 
Financial aid, personal protective equipment and medical supplies, gathered as part of the Play for Russia charity tournament in favour of health workers, are on their way to the destination regions. 
 
The 14th world champion Vladimir Kramnik has supported as many as three medical institutions of Krasnodar Krai – Tuapse Central District Hospital No. 2, Tuapse Central District Hospital No. 1, and Tuapse District Ambulance Station. 
 
The Timchenko Foundation has sent to all three hospitals as many as 400 FFP3 respirators, 700 disposable protective suits, 200 disposable goggles, and 32500 disposable medical gloves with 2.5 million rubles. While PPE has already reached Tuapse Central District Hospital No. 1 and Tuapse District Ambulance Station, Tuapse Central District Hospital No. 2 is to receive it today. 
 
The shipment with medical supplies worth 700 thousand rubles is currently on the way to Tuapse District Ambulance Station from Novosibirsk. The list of medical supplies includes 50 items of 5 Liter - 1/Bottle and 150 items of 1 Liter - 1/Bottle disinfectant cleaners for surfaces and equipment, 100 disinfectant tablets for mixing solutions No. 300, 50 items of five-liter antiseptic bottles, 35000 alcohol wipes for injections, 6600 medical catheter tubes of four sizes, and 200 Laryngeal masks of four sizes. As agreed with medical institution, the first consignment is arriving within the next few days, and the second one – in two weeks.

The donation pool from Play for Russia tournament in favour of health workers has amounted to 25 million 600 thousand rubles.

Regardless of final tournament standings, the total prize pool has been shared equally among regional hospitals (specializing, above all, in the patients suffering from the coronavirus) and charity organizations. Going into the tournament, the participants determined the health institutions to receive financial support.
