Uzbekistan to Host Pool B of Women's Candidates Tournament
The event will take place in Khiva from 28 November to 11 December.

Pool B of the FIDE Women's Candidates Tournament will be held in the ancient city of Khiva, Uzbekistan, from 28 November to 11 December. The event will feature Aleksandra Goryachkina, Kateryna Lagno, Alexandra Kosteniuk, and Tan Zhongyi.
Under the new knock-out format, players in each pools will play a four-game match (plus tie-breaks, if needed) in order to advance to the next stage. The top-finisher qualifies for the Final, which will take place in 2023.
Pool B pairings (quarterfinals):
Goryachkina - Kosteniuk
Lagno - Tan Zhongyi
Pool A has already started in Monaco. The line-up includes Humpy Koneru, Anna Muzychuk, Mariya Muzychuk, and Lei Tingjie.
