Russian Team Wins World Senior Team Championship in Rhodes

The World Senior Team Championships are concluded in Rhodes.
In the "65+" group, the Russian team (Evgeny Sveshnikov, Yuri Balashov, Nukhim Rashkovsky, Vladimir Zhelnin, and Nikolai Pushkov) defended the world champion's title having scored 14 match points.
England 1 (2nd place), France (3rd place), and Israel (4th place) are 1 match point behind the winner. Team Saint Petersburg scored 10 points to take the 9th place.
Team USA (Alexander Shabalov, Joel Benjamin, Igor Novikov, Jaan Ehlvest, and Alex Yermolinsky) won the "50+" tournament with 17 match points. Italians are second with 14 points. Team Israel won bronze medals - 12 points.
Russian Women took the 12th place with 9 match points and showed the best result among women's teams.
