Russian Team Championships Completed in Sochi

The winners are Mednyi Vsadnik and Moscow Chess Team.


The final ninth round of the Russian Team Championships among men and women was played on May 10 in the Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina in Sochi. The winners of the Premier League (Mednyi Vsadnik) and the Women's Championship (Moscow Chess Team) had been determined the day before but the tense struggle for the medals went on in all the groups. 

Premiere League, Round 9 results:  

Wildberries Molodezhka - Gogolevsky, 14 (2.5-3.5)

Mikhail Botvinnik School - Mednyi Vsadnik (2-4)

Kimmeria - KPRF (1.5-4.5)

SShOR - Moscow Chess Team (1-5)

Ladya had a bye.



Final standings:

1. Mednyi Vsadnik (Saint Petersburg) - 16 match points (34.5 individual points)
2. Moscow Chess Team - 13 (29.5)
3. Gogolevsky, 14 (Moscow) - 12 (28)
4. KPRF (Moscow) - 9 (26)
5. Wildberries Molodezhka (Tyumen region) - 7 (25.5)
6. Mikhail Botvinnik School (Moscow) - 5 (23)
