Russian Players Lead Pool C at FIDE Online Olympiad
The team won first three matches.
The Top Division matches of the FIDE Online Olympiad started on Chess.com on the 8th of September. The Russian team won the first three encounters in the Pool C: 4.5-1.5 against Ukraine, 6-0 against Germany, and 5-1 against the Czech Republic, and have taken the sole lead.
On the 9th of September, the Russian players will face Paraguay, Israel, and Argentina.
Three rounds (time control: 15+5) are played each day starting from 5 PM Moscow time.
Two best teams of each pool advance to knock-out stage (Play-off). The quarterfinals will be played on the 13th of September, the semi-final on the 14th of September, and the Final on the 15th of September.
