The first finalist of the FIDE Grand Prix leg in Belgrade was determined. Having saved a rather tough position against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Richard Rapport won the semifinal match 1.5-0.5.

Dmitry Andrekin and Anish Giri made a second draw and will continue their struggle on tie-break tomorrow.

During a tie-break, a 15+10 two-game match will played. If still tied, a 3+2 two-game match follows and then, if needed, an Armageddon game, where White has 5 minutes to Black's 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black.
