Radoslaw Wojtaszek Wins Chess.Com Isle of Man International

The final ninth round of the Chess.Com Isle of Man International was played in Douglas on October 28. 

Radoslaw Wojtaszek (Poland) and Arkadij Naiditsch (Azerbaijan) made a draw and finished the tournament with 7 points out of 9. A play-off match for the first place was played. The Polish grandmaster won the first game, but Naiditsch managed to even the score. Wojtaszek defeated his opponent with white in the "sudden death" game to become the winner of the tournament.  

Vladimir Kramnik, Alexander Grischuk (both from Russia), Hikaru Nakamura, Jeffery Xiong (both from USA), Wang Hao (China), Gawain Jones (England), and Baskaran Adhiban (India) have scored 6.5 points. Vladimir Kramnik took the third place thanks to superior tie-break. 

Alina Kashlinskaya (Russia) showed the best result among women - 6 points out of 9 - and got a GM norm. Our congratulations!
