The New Year Blitz Tournament Played in Ostankino
Olga Girya took the first place.
On December 24, the technical center of Ostankino TV studious hosted a New Year women blitz tournament. 12 ladies took part in the competition.
The first place was contested mainly by two grandmasters, Olga Girya and Darya Charochkina. Girya handled the finishing part with greater confidence and won the trophy with 9 points out of 11. Darya Charochkina and Galina Strutinskaya tied for the second place with 8 points. The result of their individual encounter favored Charochkina, who received the second prize.
