Magnus Carlsen Wins Tata Steel Masters

In the 13th round of the Tata Steel Masters, Richard Rapport defeated Jorden Van Foreest, Vladimir Kramnik lost to Samuel Shankland, while the games Giri - Carlsen, Nepomniachtchi - Radjabov, Mamedyarov - Fedoseev, Anand - Vidit, and Duda - Ding Liren were drawn.
Having scored 9 points out of 13, Magnus Carlsen (Norway) won the super tournament in Wijk aan Zee for the seventh time. Anish Giri (Netherlands) is second with 8.5 points. Ian Nepomniachtchi (3rd place, Russia), Ding Liren (4th place, China), and Viswanathan Anand (5th place, India) have scored 7.5 points each.

Vladislav Kovalev (Belarus) won the Tata Steel Challengers with 10 points and qualified for the Tata Steel Masters 2020. Andrey Esipenko, Maksim Chigaev (both from Russia), and Benjamin Gledura (Hungary) are 1.5 points behind. Due to his superior tie-break, Esipenko is second, while Gledura is third.
