Magnus Carlsen Becomes First Finalist of Chessable Masters

On July 1, the second semifinal matches of the Chessable Masters were played on Chess24.com. 

Magnus Carlsen eliminated Ding Liren by winning 2.5-0.5 to become the first finalist of the event.  

Ian Nepomniachtchi won on demand against Anish Giri 2.5-1.5, so the grandmasters will determine the winner in the decisive match on July 2.
