The seventh round of the FIDE Candidates Tournament has been completed in Madrid. In the Rapport - Nepomniachtchi game, the Hungarian grandmaster had declined from a move repetition in the opening, but then White's position turned out to be rather dubious. The Russian grandmaster achieved a considerable advantage and eventually won the game. Fabiano Caruana outplayed Teimour Radjabov as White. The games Duda - Nakamura and Ding - Firouzja were drawn.
