Hikaru Nakamura and Levon Aronian Begin FIDE Grand Prix Leg Final with Draw

The return game will be played on 16 February.

The final match between Hikaru Nakamura and Levon Aronian has started at the first leg of the FIDE Grand Prix Series 2022 in Berlin. Nakamura had the white pieces on the first day; the game turned out to be rather sharp, but still, it ended in a draw after Black's 54th move.

   

The return game will be played on Wednesday, 16 February. Levon Aronian will have the white pieces.
