Head of Chuvash Republic Visits Higher League
The second round took place in Cheboksary.
On the 27th of June, the second round of the Higher League of the 74th Russian Championship and the 71st Russian Women's Championship was played in Cheboksary.
The Head of the Chuvash Republic Oleg Nikolayev visited the tournament. The guest of honour played a friendly game against grandmaster Ivan Rozum.
After two rounds, leading the open section with a perfect score are Evgeny Alekseev, Alexey Sarana, Maksim Chigaev, Pavel Ponkratov, and Artyom Timofeev.
Anastasia Bodnaruk, Leya Garifullina, Marina Guseva, Dina Belenkaya, Daria Charochkina, and Alina Bivol have scored 2 points each in the women's event.
