Globus Wins European Club Cup
Batumi Chess Club Nona is the winner of the women’s competition.

In the last 9th round of the European Club Cup in Antalya, Turkey, the Russian team Globus (Vladimir Kramnik, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Alexander Grischuk, Sergey Karjakin, Anish Giri, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Anton Korobov, Denis Khismatullin) defeated their compatriots from ShSM Legacy Square Capital 4.5-1.5 to win the tournament with 12 match points. Alkaloid (Macedonia, 2nd place), Odlar Yurdu (Azerbaijan, 3rd place), and Ave Novy Bor (Czech Republic, 4th place) have got 11 points.
The Russian teams Mednyi Vsadnik and ShSM Legacy Square Capital took the fifth and the eighths places respectively.
Final standings
The women’s event was won by Batumi Chess Club Nona: the Georgian chess players scored 11 match points like Odlar Yurdu. Due to the inferior tie-break, the Azerbaijani club became second.
Bossa Nova (Belarus, 3rd place) and Ugra (Russia, 4th place) are trailing by 1 point.
ShSM Legacy Square Capital is the fifth.
