Fourth Round of Russian Youth Championships Played in Sochi
Artur Gaifullin and Ekaterina Diakonova lead U21 events.
Four rounds of the Russian Youth Championships under 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21 years old and the all-Russian competition «First League» under 11, 13, 15, and 17 years old (boys and girls) were played in AquaLoo resort (Sochi).
Leaders in the age groups are as follows:
U11. Boys: 1-2. Alexandr Usov, Pavel Boykov - 4 points. Girls: 1. Anna Shukhman - 4;
U13. Boys: 1-2. Daniil Maneluk, Vladislav Dudarev - 4. Girls: 1. Olga Karmanova - 4;
U15. Boys: 1. Martin Stukan - 4. Girls: 1. Ekaterina Nasyrova - 4;
U17: 1-5. Filipp Rudovskii, Arseniy Nesterov, Rudik Makarian, Dandar Shoboev, Tigran Mukhutdinov - 3.5. Girls: 1. Alexandra Afanasieva - 4;
U19: 1-2. Oleg Bykov, Erik Obgolts - 4. Girls: 1-2. Anastasia Khan, Anna Afonasieva - 4.
Artur Gaifullin is leading the race at the Russian under 21 championship with 3.5 points. Alexandr Triapishko is half a point behind. Ekaterina Diakonova has scored 3 points in the girls' event. Alena Korchagina, Ekaterina Borisova, and Aleksandra Dimitrova are trailing by half a point.
An extensive additional programme includes athletic competitions, solving contests, as well as seminars for coaches, parents, and arbiters.
