Fourth Leg of FIDE Women's Grand Prix Begins in Nikosia

The final fourth leg of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix will be held in the capital of Cyprus from May 15 to May 28. The round-robin event will bring together the Russians Aleksandra Goryachkina (2571), Kateryna Lagno (2558), Polina Shuvalova (2484), Alexandra Kosteniuk (2535, Switzerland), Tan Zhongyi (2517, China), Nana Dzagnidze (2513), Bella Khotenashvili (2478, both from Georgia), Harika Dronavalli (2501, India), Bibisara Assaubayeva (2464, Kazakhstan), Gunay Mammadzada (2449, Azerbaijan), Olivia Kiolbasa (2422, Poland), and Dinara Wagner (2417, Germany). The Russian participants are playing under the FIDE flag.

The match days are May 16-21 and 23-27.

Dronavalli - Assaubayeva, Wagner - Goryachkina, Dzagnidze - Khotenashvili, Kosteniuk - Tan, Kiolbasa - Mammadzada, Lagno - Shuvalova

The two players who score the most number of cumulative points in WGP Series shall qualify for the FIDE Women Candidates Tournament 2023-24.
