Five Rounds of Russian Youth Championship Completed in Sochi

Volodar Murzin and Ekaterina Goltseva maintain leadership in the juniors' events.


Five rounds of the Russian Youth Championship among boys and girls under 15, 17, and 19 years old, Russian Junior Championships, and the all-Russian competition "First League" were played in the AquaLoo resort in Sochi. 

The leaders of the Russian Youth Championships in the respective age groups are Valeria Kleymenova (Girls under 15), Nikita Dovbnia (Open under 15), Olga Karmanova (Girls under 17), Roman Kuzmin, Daniil Manelyuk (Open under 17), Mariya Yakimova (Girls under 19), and Marat Shakirov (Open under 19). 

The results in the juniors' events are as follows: 

Open: Murzin - Grachev 1-0, Salemgareev - Tsoi 1-0, Nesterov - Remizov 1/2-1/2, Pavlov - Shubin 0-1, Tsvetkov - Khubukshanov 1-0.

Volodar Murzin keeps leading the race unbeaten, with 5 points out of 5. Andrey Tsvetkov and Arseniy Nesterov are 1.5 points behind. 

Girls: Getman - Zhapova 1-0, Nasyrova - Dubnikova 1-0, Solozhenkina - Goltseva 1/2-1/2, Miroshnik - Loskutova 1/2-1/2, Nur-Mukhametova - Grigorieva 0-1.   

Eketerina Goltseva maintains leadership with 4 points scored. Yulia Grigorieva is trailing by half a point.
