FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich Congratulates CFR on Double Victory at the European Championships

Russian teams arrived in Moscow from Batumi the day before.

FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich sent a congratulatory letter to the Chess Federation of Russia.  

Dear Mr Filatov!

On this festive day for all Russians, the Unity Day, I feel a special joy in congratulating you in person, the Chess Federation of Russia, and the whole Russian chess community on the brilliant result shown by the Russian national teams at the recent European championships. This double victory is a result of a laborious work of the coaches, the CFR's management, and the players themselves. 

Dear Andrey Vasilyevich, let me wish you and all our players to continue this golden series both in the team and individual world chess events.

The previous night, the Russian chess players arrived in Moscow. In the Domodedovo airport, they were met by journalists, relatives, and the CFR representatives. But not all team members came to Moscow, for example, Nikita Vitiugov and Daniil Dubov flew directly to Hamburg where the third leg of the FIDE World Chess Grand Prix opens today.
