Evgeniy Najer Becomes One of Grand Swiss Leaders
Five players are ahead in the women's event.

The fifth round of the FIDE Chess.com Grand Swiss and Women's Grand Swiss is completed in Riga.
Having defeated Robert Hovhannisyan, the Russian grandmaster Evgeniy Najer had become one of the leaders with 4 points scored together with Alireza Firouzja and Alexei Shirov. Fourteen players, including Pavel Ponkratov and Alexandr Predke, are trailing by half a point.
Round 6 pairings
The leaders of the women's event are Nino Batsiashvili, Elisabeth Paehtz, Zhu Jiner, Lei Tingjie, and Jolanta Zawadzka, who have got 4 points each. Nana Dzagnidze, Natalija Pogonina, Dronavalli Harika, and Olga Badelka are half a point behind.
