European Youth Championship in Turkey Crosses the Line

The fifth round of the European Youth Chess Championship is concluded in Antalya. The Russian participants are playing under the FIDE flag.

Roman Shogdzhiev (FIDE) is heading the race in the Open U8 Group with 5 points scored. Sofya Kokareva  (FIDE) and Lila Rzadkowska (Poland) have perfect scores in the girls' section. 

The Open U10 Group is led by Ozgur Torpak Kurt, Mehmet Alper Celebi, Baver Yilmaz (all from Turkey), and Gabriel Gabadadze (Georgia), who have got 4.5 points each. Ivan Golikov (FIDE) is half a point behind. The leaders of the Girls' U10 Group are Marianta Lampou (Greece) and Leyla Mirzaliyeva (Azerbaijan) - 5 points. Arina Berezovskaya and Kristina Zavivaeva (both FIDE) are trailing by 1 point.

Taimaz Temirbekov, Stanislav Bukreev (both FIDE), Khagan Ahmad (Azerbaijan), Yigit Karaca (Turkey), and Narek Ghazaryan (Armenia) have got 4.5 points each in the Open U12 Section. Diana Preobrazhenskaya (FIDE) is the sole leader in the girls' event; she's scored 4.5 points. 

Eldiz Gurel (Turkey) has a perfect score in the Open U14 Group. Yaroslav Veselov and Roman Simbelov (both FIDE) are 1.5 points behind. Valeria Kleymenova (FIDE) is leading the race in the girls' competition with 5 points scored. 

The Open U16 Section is headed by Diego Macias Pino (Spain), who's got 5 points. Erdem Khubukshanov (FIDE) is 1 point behind the leader. Manon Schippke (France) is the leader of the tournament among girls - 5 points. Olga Karmanova and Alexandra Shvedova (both FIDE) are trailing by 1 point. 

Andrey Tsvetkov, Maksim Popov (both FIDE), and Mamikon Gharibyan (Armenia) have a lead in the Open U18 Section with 4.5 points scored by each. Sofiia Hryzlova (Ukraine) and Mariam Mkrtchyan (Armenia) are heading the Girls' U18 Group, having got 4.5 points each. Leya Garifullina, Mariya Yakimova, and Viktoriya Loskutova (all FIDE) are half a point behind.
