European Individual Championship Starts in Skopje

The first games of the European Individual Championship will be played in the capital of Macedonia on March 18. 365 chess players from 43 countries will take part in the 11-round Swiss event. 

The starting list is headed by Vladislav Artemiev (2736), Evgeny Tomashevsky (2705), Daniil Dubov (2703, all from Russia), Vladislav Kovalev (Belarus, 2703), Ivan Saric (Croatia, 2701), Rauf Mamedov (Azerbaijan, 2701), and other strong players. 

Russia is represented by 48 participants.  

The match days: March 18-22 and 24-29. March 23 is a free day. The games start at 5 p.m. (Moscow time), while the final 11th round begins at 3 p.m. (Moscow time).
