2015 Yin Zhou Cup, China-Russia Match

Peter Svidler and Valentina Gunina are leading our teams in Ningbo.

A traditional friendly match between national teams of Russia and China takes place in Ningbo (China) on July 13-21. It is a 5-5 single round robin system for both men and women teams.

Russia is represented by Peter Svidler, Nikita Vitiugov, Maxim Matlakov, Vladimir Fedoseev, Daniil Dubov, coach - Alexander Motylev; Valentina Gunina, Natalia Pogonina, Olga Girya, Alexandra Goryachkina, Alina Kashlinskaya, coach - Sergey Rublevsky. 

Chinese men team: Yu Yangyi (2724), Wei Yi (2703), Lu Shanglei (2580), Bu Xiangzhi (2681), Wang Chen (2531).

Chinese women team: Tan Zhongyi (2487), Huang Qian (2473), Shen Yang (2459), Lei Tingjie (2444), Ding Yixin (2434). 

July 14th - blitz (3 minutes + 2 seconds increment)
July 15-17 and 19-20 - classical chess (90 minutes + 30 seconds increment)
July 18 - rest day

Total prize fund of the match - 50,000 USD. 

The prize distrubution is $18,000 to the winner, $12,000 to the loser of men's match, and $12,000 to the winner, $8,000 to the loser of the women's match.

The winner is determined by score in classical chess. If the match is tie, the result of the blitz match serves as a tie-breaker.
