Carlsen - Caruana Match: Game 11 Ends in a Draw

The score is 5.5-5.5.

The 11th game of the World Championship Match between Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana took place in London on November 24. The World Champion played with the white pieces. The first symbolic move was made by the challenger-2016 Sergey Karjakin, who suddenly played 1.b2-b4. But the World No.1 put the pawn back and played the Petrov's Defence. However, Caruana demonstrated a top-quality preparation in the main line. After mass exchanges, the play was transferred to an endgame with opposite-colored bishops, where White had an extra pawn. The contender confidently defended the endgame. The game was drawn.

The score is 5.5-5.5 before the final round. The ultimate 12th game is to be played on November 26. Magnus Carlsen will have the white pieces.
