Boris Grachev Joins Leaders at Head of Sakha Republic Cup
Volodar Murzin won a blitz tournament.

The sixth round of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Cup, a stage of the Russian Cup, was played in Yakutsk on 29 January.
Having defeated Yuri Rodionov, grandmaster Boris Grachev joined GMs Mikhail Kobalia and Volodar Murzin, who had drew their game. Three leaders have got 5 points each.
Grandmaster Anton Shomoev, Arseniy Chumaevskiy, and FIDE Master Dmitry Egorov are trailing by half a point.
In the morning, a blitz tournament was held as past of an additional programme. The event brought together 68 players. The youngest Russian grandmaster Volodar Murzin achieved a sensational victory, having scored 11 points out of 11. Boris Grachev is in second place, while Dmitry Kryakvin won bronze.
