Arkady Dvorkovich Runs for FIDE President

President of the International Chess Federation, Arkady Dvorkovich, has announced running for re-election as head of organisation and has presented his team (ticket).

President of the Chess Federation of Russia Andrey Filatov:
 
— Last December, the CFR Supervisory Board unanimously supported Arkady Dvorkovich for the 2022 FIDE Presidential elections, should he decide to run as a candidate. Members of the Supervisory Board have given a high rating to Dvorkovich's work as head of the International Chess Federation, highlighting positive changes in FIDE's structure and activities and its reaching a qualitatively new level in organising competitions of 2018-2021, including the challenging period of the pandemic. 
 
Today Arkady Dvorkovich has announced running for re-election, and the Chess Federation of Russia backs up his candidacy. We wish him success and victory! Chess development is our common cause. 

 
FIDE President election is to take place at the Congress in Chennai in August 2022. The deadline for submission of applications from presidential candidates is 7 June.
