Anish Giri Qualifies for Final of Chessable Masters

On July 2, the decisive semifinal match Giri vs. Nepomniachtchi at the Chessable Masters was played on Chess24.com. 

The Russian won the first rapid game, but the Dutch grandmaster equalised the score right in the second one. Then two draws followed. The blitz part also started with a peaceful result, however, Anish Giri won the second game to become Magnus Carlsen's rival in the final. 

The final match Carlsen vs. Giri will begin on July 3.
