Additional Programme Starts at King Salman World Rapid and Blitz Championships
World champion in chess composition Oleg Pervakov held contests for children.
On December 26, the additional programme of the King Salman Rapid and Blitz Championships started in Luzhniki. Oleg Pervakov, the four-time world champion in chess composition, organized a simultaneous exhibition in solving chess studies and the solving competition. The contest consisted of a qualifying stage and a knock-out final with 16 participants.
Results:
1st place - Nikita Zavyalov
2nd place - Nadezhda Khachatrian
3rd place - Pavel Ekimov.
All participants were presented with chess books. The prize-winners will be awarded with cups, medals, diplomas and gifts from Yandex during the official closing ceremony.
