10th Alexandra Kosteniuk Cup Ends in Podolsk
Children from 5 to 12 years old participated in the festival.
The 10th Alexandra Kosteniuk Cup was played on September 30 – October 2 in Podolsk, Moscow Region. There were four age groups – under 6, under 8, under 10, and under 12.
The 12th World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk participated in the opening ceremony and declared the tournament open. The opening ceremony was also attended by the Chairman of Physical Culture and Sports Department of local administration Sergey Sabinin, as well as sponsors and organizers of the festival.

The participants of all four tournaments received memorable gifts from Step puzzle company. The winner of the round-robin, Margarita Zvereva received an amber diadem. The winners of Under 10 and Under 12 tournaments also were awarded laptops – a gift from Moscow Region Chess Federation.
