The national Higher League competition is the 4th stage of the 70th men's championship of Russia and 67th women's championship of Russia and will take place in Sochi, Krasnaya Polyana, Roza Khutor, from July 1 (arrival) to July 12 (departure) 2017. 

The event is a 9-round Swiss with one rest day.

Playing days: July 2-6, July 8-12. The rest day is July 7. All rounds begin at 3 pm (msk).

The venue – Hotel «Golden Tulip Roza Khutor», Balnyi Hall (Panorama Embankment, 3).

Official hotel for participants – Hotel “Tulip Inn Roza Khutor” (Panorama Embankment, 2).

Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with 30 second added after each move from the beginning of the game.

Players are allowed to be late for their games for no more than 15 minutes.

Draw negotiations before the move 40 are not permitted.

Prize fund – 5,000,000 RUR.

Top 5 finishers in each tournament receive the right to play in the Superfinals-2017.
