Winners Tournament Was Held in Moscow
Evgeny Sveshnikov an Galina Strutinskaya took first places.
The Winners Tournament among seniors, dedicated to the 72nd Anniversary of Victory in WWII, was held in the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration on May 21. 128 chess players took part in the open tournament.
Evgeny Sveshnikov, Evgeni Dragomarezkij, Anatoli Shvedchikov, and Yuri Meshkov scored 7 points out of 9. The tiebreaker placed them in this particular order.
Standings
33 participants played in the women’s section. Galina Strutinskaya took first place with 7 points out of 8. Elena Fatalibekova is half a point behind. Larisa Khropova, who scored 5,5 points along with Natalia Beliaeva and Vera Volskaya, came third due to her superior tie-break.
