Wei Yi Wins Match Against Ernesto Inarkiev

A traditional chess festival Tower of Concord finished in the Republic of Ingushetia. The main event of the festival was the match between a former European champion Ernesto Inarkiev and three-time champion of China Wei Yi. The match consisted of 6 games with classical time control (Wei Yi won 4-2) and 6 rapid games. 

On the second playing day, the rivals exchanged blows in two games.



We Yi won the rapid part 3.5-2.5 as well as the classical one. 

The festival was organized by Adi Akhmad sports club, Government of the Republic of Ingushetia, Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Ingushetia, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Ingushetia with support of the Russian Chess Federation and the International School Chess Union.
