Six Teams Lead European Club Cup

Third round games of the European Club Cup were played in Porto Carras. In the men's event, the Russian club Mednyi Vsadnik defeated KGSRL (Belgium) 4-2 to remain one of the leaders along with Oldar Yurdu, Alkaloid, Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova, Beer Sheva Chess Club, and Dunajska Streda. Molodezhka is 2 match points behind.
In the fourth round, Mednyi Vsadnik will play against Alkaloid, while Molodezhka's opponent will be Schachfreunde Berlin 1903.
In the "A" group of the women's event, the leader is Georgian Nona which outplayed Ugra 2.5-1.5. The Russian team is sharing 2-3 places with the Kyiv Chess Federation.
In the "B" group, the St. Petersburg players won the match against Odlar Yurdu 3:1. Cercle d'Echecs de Monte-Carlo is leading the pack with 6 match points, while SSHOR and Caissa Italia Pentole Agnelli are trailing by 1 point.
