Sergey Karjakin Takes the Lead in His Match against Ernesto Inarkiev

Tower of Consent international festival is being held in Ingushetia.

The 4th International chess festival Tower of Consent is taking place in Troitskaya village, the Republic of Ingushetia. The central event is a friendly match between the Russian grandmasters Sergey Karjakin and Ernesto Inarkiev. Three more rapid games were played on August 3. Sergey Karjakin won two of them, while the third one ended in a draw. Thus, the score is 3.5-2.5 in favor of Sergey Karjakin. 



The rivals will play 8 blitz games (5+3) on August 4 starting from 12 p.m. (Moscow time). The match will continue on the view point of the Magas Tower, on the height of 100 meters. The event is broadcast on our website.

The youth team event is taking place alongside the match. 14 teams (each team consists of 4 players) are participating in the event: they are playing in two groups in the preliminary stage. The matches for 1-2 and 3-4 places will be played on August 4. 

Tournament on Chess-Results

A rapid open tournament Adi-Ahmad Cup started on August 3. The leaders are Alexander Kozak, Denis Eraschenkov, and Oleg Nechaev with 4.5 points out of 5. Four final rounds will be held on Sunday.
