Russians Win European Senior Team Championship with 1 Round to Spare

On April 22, the final round of the European Senior Team Championship will be played in Walbrzych, Poland. But we can already congratulate both Russian teams with a victory. 

The Russian team  (Yuri Balashov, Vladimir Zhelnin, Gennady Tunik, Nikolai Pushkov, and Alexander Lisenko) won all the matches (16 points) to secure the first place in the "65+" category. Germany is second (13 points), while Sweden-1 is on the third place with 10 points. 

Russian women's team (Galina Strutinskaia, Tatiana Grabuzova, Nina Sirotkina, Elena Fatalibekova, and Elena Sazonova) won the world champion's title in the women's tournament and secured the 2nd place in the "50+" category. The current standings is as follows: 1. Italy - 16 points, 2. Russia (women) - 14, 3. Belgium - 11, 4. Germany (women) - 9.

Tatiana Grubuzova from Russia is showing the best performance in the tournament so far - 7 points out of 8.
