RIP Valeri Yandemirov (1963-2017)
Grandmaster dies at the age of 54.
A Russian grandmaster Valeri Yandemirov (11.02.1963-16.11.2017) has passed away at the age of 54.International grandmaster, one of the leading coaches of Tatarstan Valeri Yandemirov had authority over chess players. Both strong grandmasters and many young chess players of Tatarstan owe their success in sports to him.
Valeri Petrovich was a permanently friendly and responsive person with a colossal internal culture and wide range of interests.
On November 16, he was to play at the Team Championship of Tatarstan. When he did’t appear, the participants grew worried as he had never been late for a game. When they arrived in his home, it was too late.
The Russian Chess Federation expresses sincere condolences to relatives and friends of Valeri Yandemirov.
