Poikovsky Round 1 Results
Viorel Bologan and Emil Sutovsky started with victories.
The 16th international tournament named in honor of Anatoly Karpov started in Poikovsky on September 28.
In the first round Viorel Bologan defeated Alexander Morozevich, and Emil Sutovsky won against Denis Khismatullin. Shirov-Inarkiev, Lysyj-Korobov, and Laznicka-Smirin ended in draws.
