PhosAgro and Russian Chess Federation Sign Agreement on Continuation of Strategic Partnership

Ceremony takes place in Central Chess Club.

PJSC PhosAgro, a Russian vertically integrated company and one of the world’s leading producers of phosphate-based fertilizers, decided to continue its strategic partnership with the Russian Chess Federation. A respective cooperation agreement for one year was signed by Andrey A. Guryev, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC PhosAgro, and Andrey Filatov, the RCF President, head coach of the Russian national men's chess team, in the Central Chess Club in Moscow on April 25. The amount of support is 30 million rubles in the current year.

Besides the partnership with the RCF, sponsoring world chess championship matches in Sochi, New York, and London, we open chess classes in schools and kindergartens in our presence regions to popularize chess. 

In the recent 8 years, the Russian children have gained more than 100 medals in the youth competitions. Russian chess players won world rapid and blitz championships. There are three World Cup winners in our country. The Russian chess players won European championships 6 times. Women became Olympic champions 3 times, European champions - 2 times, they won world team championship in 2017. The Russian men's team won European and world team championships 2 times, took silver Olympic medals 3 times. Some days ago Valentina Gunina won the European championship for the third time in her career! Sergey Karjakin shared second place in the Candidates Tournament in Berlin.
