Nana Dzagnidze Wins European Championship

Aleksandra Goryachkina is second, Alisa Galliamova is third.

The European Women's Championship ended in Riga. Nana Dzagnidze (Georgia) scored 8.5 points out of 11 and became a champion. 

Aleksandra Goryachkina and Alisa Galliamova, both from Russia, finished with 8 points. Goryachkina received a silver medal thanks to her superior tie-break. 

14 top players received invitations to the World Championship in a knock-out format. Among them are three more Russians – Ekaterina Lagno (4th place), Marina Nechaeva (9th place), and Natalija Pogonina (12th place).
