Igor Lysyj Wins Governor of Altai Krai Cup

Dmitry Kryakvin is second. 

Governor of Altai Krai Cup, a stage of the Rapid Grand Prix of Russia, finished in Barnaul. As a result of a two-day fight, the winner is GM Igor Lysyj (9 points out of 11), who since recently represents Chelyabinsk Oblast. GM Dmitry Kryakvin is half a point behind. GM Aleksei Pridorozhni has become third with 8 points due to his superior tie-break. 

IM Semen Khanin has showed the best result among young players, while WIM Anna Novikova is the best among women. Among local players it was FM Vitaly Boiarintsev who caused the majority of problems to rating favourites. 

At the closing ceremony, the tournament’s Chief Arbiter Maxim Ivakhin and the tournament’s organizer, President of the Chess Federation of Altai Krai Artem Polomoshnov rewarded the prize-winners with the presents from Kaspersky Lab.
