Boris Grachev Wins Moscow Rapid Championship
Daria Pustovoitova won the women's event.
Moscow Rapid Championships among men and women ended in the Russian State Social University. 34 players took part in the men's event, 21 players participated in the women's event.
Grandmaster Boris Grachev became the Moscow champion, scoring 7.5 points out of 9. Grandmaster Yakov Geller and FM Nikita Afanasiev tied for second with 6.5 points.
A phenomenal result – 9 out of 9 – was produced by FM Daria Pustovoitova in the women's tournament. Grandmasters Maria Manakova and Elmira Mirzoeva finished on 6 points and tied for second place.
