Rapid & Blitz 

(Men, Women)

Russian Individual and Team Rapid & Blitz Championships among men and women are played from October 14th (arrival) to October 21st (departure), 2019, in Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina, Sochi. 

Individual Championships

Dates: October 14th (arrival) - October 18th (departure).

Rate of play: Swiss system. 

Rapid: 11 rounds. Time control: 15 minutes plus 10 seconds per move increment starting from the first move.

Blitz: 15 rounds. Time control: 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per move increment starting from the first move.

Prize fund: 

Rapid: Men - 900,000 rubles. Women - 500,000 rubles.

Blitz: Men - 500,000 rubles. Women - 350,000 rubles.


Team Championships

Dates: October 17th (arrival) - October 21st (departure).

Rate of play: Swiss system. 

Rapid: 9 rounds. Time control: 15 minutes plus 10 seconds per move increment starting from the first move.

Blitz: 15 rounds. Time control: 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per move increment starting from the first move.

Team composition: 7 persons (4 players, 1 reserve, 1 coach, 1 representative). One person may combine the functions of a coach and a representative. Not more than 2 foreign players are allowed to be included in a team.

Prize fund: 

Rapid: Men - 800,000 rubles. Women - 400,000 rubles.

Blitz: Men - 600,000 rubles. Women - 300,000 rubles.
